L’Oréal Fitout

Project Description

As a household name in the beauty industry L’Oréal asserts their brand in the finest of details. The recent office fitout on 564 St Kilda Road, Melbourne was a testament to the brand’s signature as confident, reliable and glamourous, which was very much ingrained into the design thinking of the interior.

Enlisting the talents of Travis Walton Architects, known to deliver opulent and luxurious interiors for residential and commercial spaces, the L’Oreal office embodied warmth whilst opening up to the correct balance of openness and natural lighting.

One of the key project requirements was to maintain a minimalistic frame appearance and door profile size. This was achieved through the selection of Criterion’s Svelte 33 partition systems and doors. The Svelte Suite is a lithe partition system designed to physically divide without visually separating interior spaces, and therefore was the perfect choice to achieve these requirements. Svelte is elegant and durable by design while successfully expanding a space.

Svelte Doors are a minimalistic, modern door system that provides both lockable and non-lockable options. For this particular fit out, a 75 mm lock block was used to house the lever handle.

The slim profiles incorporated into the design was accentuated by premium quality furnishings and drapes – adding that delicate touch of luxury to the minimalistic space. The curved U-channel was a featured highlight of this project – this unique, booth-like unit offered a good level of privacy for meetings and huddles, with maximum style and comfort.
